Elfred Prout by Frances Harper

Outstanding 11” elephant by Frances Harper, of Apple of my Eye Bears. He is made from a combination of English and German mohair, stuffed with excelsior and pellets, and looks at you with premium glass eyes. His outfit is integral with the design. Frances has added a felt collar and hat and buttons.

“Elfred Prout” has lived in my smoke free home but is looking for a new hug as we begin to downsize for a move. He maintains both sewn in tag and paper hang tag. Elfred originally retailed for $165.00.

Arthur by Cedar Creek Cubs
Outstanding mohair polar bear by Craig Bottinger/Cedar Creek Cubs. I purchased this bear direct from the artist while at the Bright Star Teddy Bear Show in Atlanta, GA in 2002. I do not know if Craig is creating bears any longer - I haven't seen him at a teddy show in several years.

Arthur stands 24" tall. He is able to stand independently. Arthur is made from a dense German mohair with black ultra suede paw pads. He is 5 way jointed and has shiny black glass eyes. He even has the extra neck skin, under his chin, seen on real polar bears. He wears a flannel neck scarf for neck trim. He is firmly stuffed. He has a sewn in tush tag as well as his paper hang tag. Original price $225.00.

Merrythought "Mango" Cheeky

Darling Merrythought Mango Cheeky is made from mohair. He has sewn in tags as well as Merrythought tag sewn to his footpad. Cheeky has bright black glass eyes which are evenly set in his face. I have found many Cheeky bears to have unevenly set eyes - I hand picked this Cheeky, making sure his eyes were even and looked right at you.
Mango originally retailed for $139.00 when purchased in 2004.

Steiff "Treff Skye Terrier"

Wonderful mohair terrier with realistic air brushing to his long coat. Treff is 13" tall (to top of his head) and @ 9" in length at his base. He is not jointed and is made to sit patiently with an adoring gaze from brown eyes with black pupils. He has an inset white muzzle and chest and tummy. Treff wears a red leather collar. he was purchased on 2003 and has a yellow ear tag with number 031663. He maintains paper chest tag. I have his other paper tags. which I clipped off for display. Original retail $195.00

Velvet Frog

Very well made green velvet frog with cream velvet underbody. He came to me eyeless. I gave him amber glass eyes. Froggy is approximately 3" tall to the top of head and a little over 3" in length. He is very well done. The person I purchased him from thought he was a Steiff piece.

Steiff Club Bear 1999

Wonderful Steiff Club bear from 1999. Bear is made from mohair and is 5 way jointed. He has his button in ear and white tag as well as his paper hang tag on his chest. Teddy measures 3.5" tall and makes a great accessory for a doll, or larger bear. He is in excellent condition and was displayed briefly in my smoke free home.

Molly Melinda Bearkin by Beverly Port

Very sweet 10" mohair bear - Molly Melinda Bearkin - designed by Beverly Port for Gorham. Molly is dressed in a calico dress with fine lace bloomers and pinafore. the pinafore is decorated with cut felt flowers. She wears a felt head band on her head and carries a jump rope. molly is a musical bear and has a crank, on her backside, under her dress. When the crank is turned her internal music box "My Favorite Things." Molly is MIB and has COA and paperwork which tells her story as well as hang tag and neck medallion.
This teddy is truly an integral part of teddy bear history as Beverly Port was one of the earliest teddy artists.
